2017 Favorites | A Collection of My Favorite Portraits

This year has been such a blessing for my business! Don’t get me wrong, every year since I’ve started back in February of 2012 has been so wonderful. I’ve grown so much as a business owner and artist, and I’m so thankful for the support I’m constantly given by family, friends, clients, and other wedding professionals. Your compliments, follows, and referrals mean the world to me and are so uplifting!

Recently I made an announcement about mine and Brandon’s new business venture; offering both photo and video services to engaged couples. We are really excited about this and are so grateful that God has opened up this opportunity for us! Our goal is to announce our new business name soon after the new year, and a brand new website reveal will then follow. We can’t wait to share our new look with you!

Here is a collection of my most favorite images from this past year. I had the privilege of working with such dear families, friends, engaged couples, and brides and grooms. Thank you all so much for allowing me to serve you in such a special way! ♥2017-12-21_00752017-12-21_00762017-12-21_00772017-12-21_00782017-12-21_00792017-12-21_00802017-12-21_00812017-12-21_00822017-12-21_0151.jpg2017-12-21_00832017-12-21_00842017-12-21_00852017-12-21_0152.jpg2017-12-21_00862017-12-21_00872017-12-21_00882017-12-21_00892017-12-21_00902017-12-21_00912017-12-21_0092Second shot for my sweet friend, Dianna Nicole Photography.2017-12-21_00932017-12-21_00942017-12-21_00952017-12-21_00962017-12-21_00972017-12-21_00982017-12-21_00992017-12-21_01002017-12-21_01012017-12-21_01022017-12-21_01032017-12-21_01042017-12-21_01052017-12-21_01062017-12-21_01072017-12-21_01082017-12-21_01092017-12-21_0110Second shot for the super talented Ashley Errington Photography.2017-12-21_01112017-12-21_01122017-12-21_01132017-12-21_01142017-12-21_01152017-12-21_01162017-12-21_01172017-12-21_01182017-12-21_01192017-12-21_0120This stunning wedding was featured on Elizabeth Anne Designs. Our Home Away from Home | Family Vacation to Tennessee

For the last 4 years we’ve looked forward to traveling down to one of our most favorite places on Earth; Tennessee! We absolutely have enjoyed each and every trip thus far, and can’t wait to return. We have even talked about moving there some day, God-willing.

What do we love so much about Tennessee? Well, the people are super friendly, we LOVE the mountains and how beautiful they are, hiking and being outdoors, and the food. Overall, it’s just a really happy and relaxing place to be. My late grandparents traveled there all the time, so I think it’s just meant to be that we familiarize ourselves with this wonderful state. We have so much more to explore there!

For the last 3 years we rented a cabin to stay in. It’s always neat to see what your home away from home will look like, and cabins are just the cutest! This year we decided to rent one through Airbnb, and we were pretty pleased. However, when we arrived on our first day, we found that a lot of the cabins were destroyed by the fire (so devastating!). We truly couldn’t believe that our cabin had not been touched by the flames since the cabins on each side of us were under construction.

This trip was also a little different since it was just myself, Brandon, Kipton, and Sophie. Briana unfortunately couldn’t join us, but there will be plenty more trips that she’ll be able to go on. My parents and sister normally go with us, but they were also not along for this one. Hopefully we’ll get a big family trip planned for 2018/2019!

Each year seems more difficult to leave TN to come back home, so I just think we’re meant to be there. Enjoy some photos from our 2017 family trip to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, TN!

Sophie got her face painted, we rode the scenic chairlift (just Sophie and I because poor Kipton is afraid of heights), ate yummy food, and went through a maze. 2017-12-21_00032017-12-21_0004

The rain didn’t last too long. We eventually headed to The Island in Pigeon Forge where the kids had a blast at the arcade, we did a little shopping, Brandon sampled some moonshine, we listened to an awesome bluegrass band, and we had pizza at Mellow Mushroom.2017-12-21_0019.jpg2017-12-21_0012.jpg2017-12-21_00132017-12-21_001410/24/172017-12-21_0020Here we are at the Cherokee Indian Museum in North Carolina. (This did not interest the kids, although they look rather entertained. LOL!) Any guesses as to what we had? 😉 (Blueberry cake donuts are THEBOMB.COM!)2017-12-21_0025

10/26/172017-12-21_0054More exploring in the national park, and then some shopping, sampling jams and jellies, and lunch at Delauder’s BBQ, a true hidden gem in Gatlinburg. The owners and staff were so friendly and the food was AMAZING! There was even a bear sighting, and unfortunately the cops had to shoot it. We rode another super fun mountain coaster and played at this playground. We were not looking forward to leaving such a fun place, but we made some pretty neat memories and can’t wait to go back!

Until next time, TN! ❤

Skye + Sean Strausbaugh | Historic Acres of Hershey | Elizabethtown, PA Wedding Photographer

What does racing have to do with Skye + Sean’s love story? EVERYTHING. It all started back in 2009, when they didn’t officially meet. Sean was working for Jesse Hockett and Skye was Miss Thunder on the Hill at Grandview Speedway. Jesse won the USAC Wingless Sprint Cars feature and it just so happens that Skye was the person standing right in front of Sean in the picture that was taken.

A couple years later in 2011, Skye’s dad, who’s name is also Sean, was already hurt and done with racing. Her dad was best friends with Mike Heffner, owner of car #27. Sean was now working for Mike and Daryn Pittman, and that’s how Skye’s dad and Sean became friends. She always looked at Sean as just that, her dad’s friend. He would come to their house or they would meet him for dinner. Skye says she hated it; no girl wants to hang out with their dad’s friends and feel like the outcast.

As Sean would say “It all started in turn 1.” Skye remembers Dirt Car Nationals at Volusia when it did nothing but rain that Friday night, and they didn’t cancel until about 1AM. That’s when Sean did what ever he could to get her to talk to him. He messaged her multiple times that weekend on Facebook, and he was very concerned if she needed a ride to and from the track since Skye’s mom and step-dad’s house was in a private gated community.

Two weeks after Dirt Car Nationals, Sean came back to Pennsylvania, and the rest is history!

The beautiful pair held their stunning wedding on December 2nd, 2017 at Historic Acres of Hershey. It was a chilly day, but so gorgeous! Lots of laughs, love, dancing, and pine cones. The reception space looked magical! (See for yourself down below!)

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Strausbaugh! Thank you so much for the wonderful privilege of photographing your wedding day! ♥

Jen + Greg Davis | The Central Hotel & Conference Center | Harrisburg, PA Wedding Photographer

They are a lot alike in some aspects with being compassionate, giving, loving to cook (and eat!), having a great sense of humor, etc., but they are very different in other aspects. Jen likes normalcy and following rules, and always likes to have a plan and be prepared. Greg is more free spirited and likes to fly by the seat of his pants. They both love wine and snuggling up on the couch with each other while watching a movie or talking. They also really enjoy spending time with their families and friends.

Jen + Greg met online in January of 2016. Their first date was two months later and the rest is history!

The beautiful couple held their ceremony at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Cornwall, PA, and the celebration took place at The Central Hotel & Conference Center in Harrisburg. Gorgeous shades of purple, silver, and sparkles filled the room and welcomed you as you walked in. The food was outstanding! It was definitely one of my favorite receptions of 2017.
